What my Community does for Me!

One of the things that both my communties have in common are the after school programs. Programs such as P.A.L., Abundant Waters, and Y.M.CA., gave me an opportunity to stay out of trouble and use my time for valuable things. I joined the P.A.L. double dutch, and dance team. I use the Y.M.CA. to enhance my computer skills in Microsoft Office. Lastly, Abdundant Waters help me expand my acting skills, and play a major role of Cha Cha in the classic music play, Greece.

Easter's Back

On April 7, 2007, the Friends of St. Nicholas Park hosted our annual Easter Festival. It was held from 2pm-4pm for the children of the community to have a great time. The event always has a great turnout and this year they included... Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Bonnet Making, Face Painting, Cupcake decorating, Nature Walks, and the Easter Bunny!

It's days like these that make us appreciate where we come from. It means alot when everyone in the community can come together and set up such a great event. But this isn's all Harlem is capable of, there is many more where this came from.
